Our Mission
As Religious of the Sacred Heart, we love to find new ways to live out our fourth vow: the education of the youth. Wishing to draw all to Love, we are so excited to share all that is Life, Beauty, and Joy! These aspects shine out almost palpably where Nature, children, and crafts are combined. It is to our delight that we can share this little slice of Heaven by offering these workshops.

Crafting Workshops on Farm
- Craft Classes
- 2 hours
- Take a break from the long lines and crowded streets! Come to the "Heart of it all" at Sacro Cuore, and join the generations of families that have come to know and love a home away from home. The nuns look forward to sharing their beautiful spaces, their knowledge and long experience as teachers, and most of all their desire to engage you in a fun, interactive activity, creating or building-up bonds of self-confidence and friendship. All for Love's sake!
- Free cancellations: If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Classes require a 4 person minimum: If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/activity or a full refund.
Workshops & Activities
Children ages 5-10
Your Primary school children will fall in-love with the Sacred Heart Farm and be proud to take something beautiful and hand-made back home! Weekend workshops are available as private or group bookings on Saturday from 10:00-12:00. Email to confirm availability.
Tweens and Teens
A fun and educational experience for adolescents! Group workshops available on Saturdays from 15:00-17:00. Email to confirm availability and craft.

Our Animals
While the Convent Farm dates back to the very founding of our school in the mid-1800's, it has been the nuns' special care to develop a small school farm that is safe (for animals and children alike), didactic, and immensely fun and interesting! That is it's sole aim -a priceless educational tool. Eggs apart, we do not keep the animals for produce or consumption. Click to get to know some of our animals!
Location
The walk from the magnificent Florentine Duomo to Sacred Heart is precisely 1.5 miles. We're in the heart of Florence, but almost incredibly, our house is propped up on a hill full of olive groves and gently undulating fields; one feels immersed in the picturesque Tuscan landscape while still enjoying the convenience of the nearby city life.
